The Inn at Oneonta is a historic location in Melbourne,
Kentucky that is perfect for a gorgeous river-view
wedding! Be our guest and celebrate your special event
surrounded in elegance and divine, natural beauty.
This amazing treasure has truly withstood the test of
time and element. Once a part of a small river town, this
historic home was the only structure that defied the 1937
flood. The town never rebuilt, but this home remained for
the packet boat and stagecoach travelers in the area.
David Hosea and his family restored this 3-story brick
mansion and has elegantly appointed it throughout with wonderful artwork depicting its
heritage on the Ohio River. Also present are stunning antiques from around the world that
compliment the original wood floors and punched tin 20 foot high ceilings.
Sitting on almost 26 acres, there are so many options to enjoy at Oneonta. Explore the many
walking trails, go fishing in the stocked onsite lake, walk down the rock stairway to sit and
watch as the Mississippi Queen paddles by playing its beautiful calliope music, play pool or
arcade games in the custom-built arcade which resembles an old-fashioned train station...or
marry
your one-and-only in our chapel or with a serene riverside setting in our gazebo. The Inn also
has a stunning cathedral wedding tent complete with bandstand and hi-tech lighting just
waiting to welcome up to 300 guests to dance the night away! This stunning riverside retreat
feels like you are thousands of miles away from home, yet it's just 20 minutes from
Cincinnati and Newport on the Levee.
ACCOMODATIONS: The Inn itself sleeps 12 people, and is ideal for accomodating an entire
wedding party.
AVAILABILITY: Oneonta is also available during the week by appointment for meetings
(outdoors, under a spacious covered tent).
EVENT CAPACITY: The event capacity is 250 – 300.
